Holiday Auffach in Austria

Auffach in the Wildschönau, a small mountain village in Tyrol where you can really enjoy the peace and quiet. The fact that Auffach is located at the back of the valley, away from all the hustle and bustle, does not mean that you are completely cut off from civilization. Within half an hour you are in Wörgl, the nearest town in the Inntal below.

Auffach is the perfect starting point for a nice holiday in Tyrol for people who do not necessarily want to stay in the hustle and bustle of, for example, the Zillertal. In the village itself you will find more than enough restaurants, hotels, apartments and guesthouses for an optimal stay. Those who do not want to stay in the village centre can find good accommodation in the slightly higher Bernau or the further away Schwarzenau. Both hamlets belong to the village of Auffach. If you like walking, there is plenty of choice in Auffach. Hiking to the top of the Feldalphorn, Lämpersberg or Schatzberg or to the end of the valley at Schönanger.

For winter sports enthusiasts who don't like crowds but still want to ski nice slopes, Auffach is a good location. Thanks to the collaboration with the Alpbachtal, located further away, under the name Skijuwel, the ski area has expanded enormously in recent years. In the morning, you take the Schatzbergbahn to the top of the Schatzberg. Ski down a bit and take the ski lift to the top where you descend with the new connecting gondola to Inneralpbach. Here you change into the cable car that then takes you to the top of the Wiederbergershorn. In short, enough slopes to keep you entertained for a holiday.
