Vacation Niederau in Austria

Niederau in the Wilschönau is the first village you encounter when you drive into the Wilschönau. Niederau is located at an altitude of 828 metres and is a nice village for both summer and winter holidays. The Markbachjoch with its 1496 metres is a characteristic appearance of the village. By means of the Markbachjochbahn you can reach the top of the mountain quickly and easily. In the winter you can ski here wonderfully and in the summer fantastic hiking. A walk to the Holzalm (kasalm) is recommended. On this farm you can enjoy a delicious kasebrot or a speckbrot. In addition, you can easily take a walk to the village of Auffach at the end of the valley. Via the Holzalm you walk to the Horlerlstieg and here you descend, via easy roads, to Auffach. If you have the car at the Markbachjochbahn, you can take the bus back to Niederau.
