The Titlis Rotair cable car

The Titlis Rotair cable car is the world's first cable car whose cabin rotates 360 degrees during the ride. This gives you a great view of the surrounding area, which is very beautiful.

The Titlis is the highest mountain around Engelberg (Switzerland) and is very popular with tourists. Important reason for this is of course the cable car with its rotating cabins. The Titlis Rotair was built in 1992. Recently, the gondolas were replaced by ones with even more glass, making the view of the surroundings even better. A ride in the rotating cabin is a real experience that, especially if you love the mountains and/or cable cars, is very much worth it.

Technical information

The Titlis Rotair was built by Garaventa / CWI, part of the Doppelmayr Garavanta Group. The length of the runway is 1493m and the height difference covered is 597m. The cabins can individually hold up to 80 people, allowing 1,000 people to be transported per hour. The valley station of the Titlis Rotair is at 2434m and the mountain station at 3031m. To reach the Titlis Rotair, you will have to use the new Engelberg - Trübsee - Stand gondola. You can then transfer here and, along with lots of tourists from all over the world, enjoy a true experience.
