1) Tiroler Zugspitz Arena
At number 1 for us is the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena. A large ski area at the foot of the Zugspitze ( Germany's highest mountain ) where the focus is more on the beginner skier than the advanced skier. Of the total 144 km of slopes, no less than 85 km are blue runs and 51 km are red runs. The ski areas of Ehrwald and Berwang are particularly suitable for beginners. The slopes are generally very wide and not steep so you will encounter few speedsters here.
In conclusion
Of course, it can be fun to ski in the most popular ski resorts, but especially for the beginner it is important to have the space and opportunities to master skiing properly. So it's much nicer in the beginning to pick a quiet ski area where you can practise in peace and quiet because believe me, it's no fun having to constantly watch out for practised skiers flying past you full throttle.
